Rescued Tuxedo Kitten Becomes the Feline Hero Her Human Needs In Order to Heal and Get Through Agoraphobia

  • If you have ever connected with a cat, then you understand that kind of powerful relationship. The healing power of cats are so underrated. Sure, people say dogs are loyal and “who rescued who?” But say a cat was your savior and you're deemed the “crazy cat lady.” But they just don't get it. When a cat chooses you as their person, they would risk everything for you. Some might act nonchalant about it, but the truth is that a cat-human connection is a one of a kind love. 

    Just take TikToker user/ proud cat mom @rowleyjeffersonfan. She was going through an extremely difficult time in life and her therapist suggested maybe adopting a cat. She didn't take the advice seriously until she happened upon a local kitten sale. She locked eyes with one tuxedo kitten and then the little furball proceeded to curl up on her lap and just purr for 15 minutes. She knew right then and there she was going to adopt her and that they were going to rescue each other. 

    Now, after a year, she posts a heartwarming slide show of photos telling the tale of her struggles and her cat, Wanda's, ability to save her.

I knew i needed her the workers told me this was the first day she went on sale after almost dying. she was a survivor just like me. i chose to name her wanda after my favorite super hero. i knew she'd save me

    instantly, my chest became her second home. as I descended more and more into my agoraphobia, she would be there to lay on me and give me her healing purrs

    soooo many days were spent with her laying on me reminding me that i am a being capable of being loved

    soon my baby Wanda started to grow!!! i was so excited. I was determined to see her grow into an adult no matter how badly i wanted to go away
